They Sprouted! | original canvas

Back in 2014, the adventure began in Colorado to legally grow cannabis. My partner and I grew a small research plot of industrial hemp, registered with our pioneering state agriculture department. An early sprout test of hemp seeds yielded these promising sprouts!

The following year, while at Ghost Ranch, NM, I painted these happy sprouts. Intense desert colors, wide open spaces, echos of Georgia O'Keeffe...of course they had to be bold!

Original artwork is an investment that has a life of its' own.
