Sunset Hemp | Wood Panels

Try this thought experiment: if a hemp plant sequesters carbon during its' life cycle, and then you mix its' center core (known as hurd or shiv) with lime and water, what do you get? Nope, it is not a hemp tortilla chip!

It's called HEMPCRETE! Naturally occurring lime has a high pH and is inherently antimicrobial and anti-fungal. Water and lime coats each piece of hemp hurd in the mix, making a durable surface that resists mold even when humidity and temperature could cause mold to occur on other insulation materials.

Hopefully sometime soon, a compressed 'hemp wood' style product will begin to replace tree-wood for home furnishing goods. In the mean time we have these affordable wood panels, which are sourced in bulk from sustainably managed Canadian forests, to keep transport impacts to a minimum.

'Sunset Hemp' is printed with a white base coat, so the colors will be true to form, but you will still be able to see some of the wood grain. State-of-the-art UV set inks are used, so that means your panel resists water and can be hung in the bathroom or kitchen if you like!

Panels are available in 3 sizes and are ready to hang right out of the box. Edge width will range 1" to 1.5" depending on the size you order.
