Bold happy color for the hemp enthusiast!

Many years went into this canvas. It makes me smile because it represents how far the humble cannabis plant has come since the turn of the millennium. From voting on Colorado's ballot initiative to legalize medical cannabis in 2000, to Amendment 64 passed in 2012, this plant finally hit the fields of Boulder County in 2014. My partner and I grew a quarter acre research plot, officially registered with Colorado's Department of Agriculture, during that first growing season.

Though we curtailed hemp farming for 6 years to work in the residential up-scale, landscape industry, our hemp dreams never faded. I painted a lot over those 'crazy making' office years, and experimented with the dried stalks and roots on weekends. GlowUp Hemp Sprouts is my cheerful expression of hope and wellness for this superpower food and resource.

In 2023, we're growing hemp again with more hemp centered artwork in the works! Follow my adventures and artist evolution, via social and email, and newer appropriate technology platforms entering and more recent, to the marketplace.
